The University of Michigan’s Mcity — a world-class test facility and proving ground for connected and automated vehicle technologies—needed to regain the AV spotlight and send a strong public policy message to NHTSA regulators, auto and tech companies, and Congress.

Using a scheduled Mcity event for federal officials and sponsors like the National Science Foundation, Telemetry arranged to have a story published based on a media interview with Mcity’s Director. By using an embargo during a specific time during the event with one key journalist, we hoped to break the story of Mcity’s call to action for regulators.
